There are 4 midwifery sites currently hiring midwives.

 

Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador is the province's newest midwifery program. This is an incredible opportunity to have a profound impact on this community, surrounding communities, and the coast of Labrador. Collaborate with Indigenous partners, including the Innu Round Table Secretariat’s new community-based Innu-led midwifery education programs in Sheshatshiu and Natuashish.

 

The Central Health Midwifery Practice is located in Gander, Newfoundland and was established in 2019. The Central practice offers prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care for clients in the Central Health zone. They are currently seeking another midwife to join their team with a goal to have 4 in the practice. 

The Carbonear/rural Eastern Practice is located in Carbonear, NL.  This practice offers prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care to clients in the Eastern Rural zone (Avalon) as well as sexual and reproductive health care for the population. The goal is to have 4 midwives in place.
