ann noseworthy

Born in Newfoundland, Ann began her journey to Midwifery while she was a Nursing student at MUN. She completed an advanced certificate in Midwifery in Edinburgh Scotland in 1991 and worked as a Midwife in the South of England.  In 1993, Ann went to New Zealand where she worked as a midwife and Midwifery Lecturer until returning home to Newfoundland and Labrador in 2011. 

Ann has a PhD in Midwifery from Massey University, New Zealand,  and recently retired from a position as Assistant Professor teaching in the Faculty of Nursing at MUN

Ann joined the AMNL in 2011 on her return to Newfoundland. She became a CAM rep in 2012 and then a board member in early 2013 when she became President of the AMNL.

Ann was a member of the Regulatory Committee in the development of the 2016 midwifery regulations and a member of the Midwifery Implementation Committee until 2019.

pamela browne

Pamela is the treasurer for the AMNL, a role she has had for 20 years. She has been a member of the AMNL (and its predecessor) since 1992. She is originally from Australia and worked in Labrador for 30 years as a midwife. She is dedicated to advocating for the rights of birthing families to have access to the midwifery care in NL.
